Easter Candy Project Minimize

Spring 2007 Project

We received a call from the Dept of Human Services regarding an urgent need for Easter Candy.  They are trying to put together Easter baskets for all of the foster children served by the department.  Their regular sources have not come through this year and they are getting a little desperate.

If anyone is interested in donating some bagged Easter candy to this project please drop it by Alison's house and she will take it to the department. (Or you can drop the candy via the usual "school kid connection" ... ).

Their deadline is Monday, April 3rd.  Thanks!

2006/2007 School Year Project

Pack 554 is collecting items for a Good Turn Project to help Lt. Jordan and his unit in Iraq.  Please bring all care package items and cards to the April 7th pack meeting.   We will be doing another shipment in the fall after school starts. To the right is a list of suggested items to send.

The names of the individuals from the unit in Baghdad are:

Lt. Jordan advises that someone at the military base is collecting items for Iraqi women and children.  If you would like to contribute to this effort we will mail the items with the care packages.  They are looking for the following: 

  • Hygiene products
  • Children’s clothing – good, used is OK
  • Diapers
  • Food
  • School supplies
  • Games
  • Candy
  • Coloring Books
  • Baseball caps
  • Toys 

Things that are not OK: No items with religious symbols, nation’s flags or military reference (pictures of tanks, guns, etc..)
